Answer 1
When dividing fractions these are the steps you will take:
1. The first number in the expression stays the same (if it is a whole number then you may just place a one in the denominator and keep the numerator the same as the whole number
2. Change the division sign into a multiplication sign
3. Take the reciprocal (switch the places of numerator and denominator) of the second number in the expression
4. Multiply across (Numerators multiply with each other. Denominators multiply with each other)
Hope this helped!

Answer 2
Answer:
KCF:
- Keep the numerator
- Change the sign from division to multiplication
- "Flip" the denominator into it's reciprocal
Step-by-step explanation:
Dividing by a fraction is the same as multiplying the numerator by that fraction's reciprocal. The KCF thing above is a nice way to remember it early on, because that's essentially what's going on.
Say you have 5/(1/2). If you wanted to perform the division, you'd keep the 5, swap the division sign to a multiplication sign, and then swap (1/2) into it's reciprocal; which is 2.
So:
- 5/(1/2) = 5•2 =10
This holds true for any division really and even any number if you're looking to mess things up a bit. I'll throw some more examples at you just to showcase it some more:
- 6/(1/3) = 6•3 = 18
- 3/(3/4) = 3•(4/3) = 3
- 2/(5/4) = 2•(4/5) = 8/5
- (3/2)/(7/6) = (3/2)•(6/7) = 9/7
- (5/7)/(2/9) = (5/7)•(9/2) = 45/14
- 4/5 = 4•(1/5)
Additionally, you could also go backwards with this knowledge. Like:
- 5•9 = 5/(1/9)
Why would you want to do that? Idk. But it's good to know nonetheless... I think that's about it. Comment with more questions if you need/want to but otherwise good luck with your studies.

2x − 6y + 3x2 + 7y − 14x
Answers
Answer:
The simplified expression is 3x²-12x+y ....
Step-by-step explanation:
The given expression is:
3x²-14x+2x+7y-6y
Now solve for the variable x
Variable x has two terms:
-14x+2x = -12x
Thus the expression becomes:
3x²-12x+7y-6y
Now solve for the variable of y.
Variable y has two terms:
7y-6y = y
Thus the expression becomes:
3x²-12x+y
Thus the simplified expression is 3x²-12x+y ....
-12x+y+3x^2
3x^2-12x+y

Answer:
-3x8+9X2+10 is the only polynomial written in standard form
Step-by-step explanation:
The standard form of a polynomial tells us to write each term in order of degree, from highest to lowest, left to right
The hight degree in third option is 8, then its followed by 2 and last by 1 as you can see.
That is the only polynomial written in standard form.

Answers
Answer:
12 F.
-2 degrees F/ hour.
Step-by-step explanation:
The difference between high and low is 7 - (-5)

Mensuration b) The dimensions of a wall is 30 m x 5m x 20 cm. It contains three windows each
of 3m x 1.5 m. How many bricks of size 20 cm x 10 cm x 5 cm are required to
build the wall leaving 10% of the space for the cement work? Also find the cost of
bricks at the rate of Rs 9000 per 1000 bricks,
Answers
Answer:
Step-by-step explanation:
1. Number of bricks
(a) Volume of wall without windows
V = lwh = 30 m × 0.20 m × 5 m = 30 m³
(b) Volume of windows
One window: V = 1.5 m × 0.20 m × 3 m = 0.9 m³
Three window : V = 3 × 0.90 m³ = 2.7 m³
(c) Volume of wall with window openings
V = 30 m³ - 2.7 m³ =27.3 m³
(d) Volume of cement work
V = 0.10 × 27.3 m³ = 2.73 m³
(e) Volume of bricks
V = 27.3 m³ - 2.73 m³ =24.57 m³
(f) Volume of one brick
V = 0.20 m × 0.10 m × 0.05 m = 0.001 m³
(g) Number of bricks
2. Cost of bricks

What will be the cost of painting a wall of length 32 and breadth 18 m at the rate of AED 50 per sqm
Answers
Answer:
The cost of painting will be AED 28800
Step-by-step explanation:
First we have to get the area of the wall.
That will be the length multiple by the breadth
Area= 32 x18 = 576 m2
Each m2 cost AED 50
So, the total cost is the area multiple by the cost of each sqm
Cost=576 m2 x AED 50 =28800
Answer:total area
32 multiply by 18=576
Then to get the cost of painting you divide 576/50=11.32

Alicia went to the store to buy folders each folder cost $0.15 .She bought 12.how much money did she spend on the folders ..? Show workk!!& label
Answers
Answer:
$1.8
Step-by-step explanation:
let x equal the money that she spend on the folders
let y equal the cost of 1 folder
let z equal the number of folders she bought
We got:
y + z = x
We know that :
y = 0.15
z = 12
So,
y * z = x
0.15 * 12 = x
1.8 = x
So x = 1.8
Alicia cost in total of $1.8 to buy folders

Andy played golf three times during his vacation. His scores were 92, 87, and 88. What was his average golf score during his vacation? (Let A stand for the average.)
Answers
Answer:
Scores = 89
Step-by-step explanation:
Because we know that to calculate the average number of something, we have to sum all the numbers together and then divide by how many numbers you have sum. So in this case there are: 92, 87, 88. There are 3 numbers in this sitiation and the sum of them are:
92 + 87 + 88 = 267
So the average number would be:
A = 267 / numbers that you sum
A = 267 / 3
A = 89
So Andy average golf score would be 89.
Hope this help you :3
Answer:
89
Step-by-step explanation:
To solve for the average score, add up all of the values of the scores and then divide it by the amount of times he played:
A=(92 + 87 + 88)/3
A = 89
Brian is conducting surveys for a research paper. Each survey takes him about 10 minutes to complete, so he can get 6 done per hour. At this rate, how many hours will it take Brian to complete 30 surveys? (Let h stand for the number of hours.)
Answers
Answer:
5 hours
Step-by-step explanation:
Let h stand for the number of hours
Because it takes him 10 minutes to complete 1 survey so 30 surveys would take him:
1 survey = 10 minutes
1 * 30 surveys = 10*30
30 surveys = 300 minutes
1 hour have 60 minutes
So it would take him:
h = 300 / 60
h = 5
So it would takes him 5 hours to finish 30 surveys
